How to find Brownrigg Hall:

Brownrigg Hall is located approximately half a mile north of Caldbeck Village, nestled in the Northern Fells of the Lake District National Park. We are only 20 minutes from Keswick, Carlisle and Penrith, with easy access from the M6 motorway.

Directions From the South

  1. Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 41.
  2. Take the B5305 for Wigton & Caldbeck.
  3. Continue for approximately 12 miles through Sebergham village.
  4. 1 mile beyond Sebergham, just past Monkhouse Hill, there is a cross roads.
  5. Turn left at the crossroads onto the B5299 for Caldbeck.
  6. Continue up steep hill, for about 2 miles.
  7. Go over the cattle grid at the cross roads - you are now entering the Lake District National Park. The land is open and unfenced - so beware - sheep, cattle and horse graze freely and have right of way.
  8. Take the second left after the crossroads (turn in at the large stone).
  9. This lane crosses the unfenced fell and leads down to our farm and caravan park.

Directions From The North

  1. Leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 42.
  2. Follow signs for Dalston to Durdar. After 2 miles you will come to a crossroads at Durdar [Black Lion Inn on right].
  3. Go Straight over at the crossroads and follow this road for 3 miles, to the T- Junction (Bridge End Inn opposite and garage on left).
  4. Turn left and continue to Welton (3 miles) on B5299.
  5. About 1 mile beyond Welton there is another crossroads - continue straight over on B5299 following signs for Caldbeck.
  6. Follow directions from South from number 6.

If all else fails, please call us and we'll send out a search party!!
